A YOUNG Oswestry boxer was celebrating last weekend as he won his latest bout which took place in Donnington.
Ethan Finney, fighting out of Maelor Amateur Boxing Club (ABC), was in action as he took on home boxer John Dunn.
The pair put on a good show with some entertaining boxing on display, but there could only be one winner.
Finney took the victory on points after a good battle with his opponent.
He was not the only Maelor ABC boxer celebrating on the night, with Bowie Diamond of Cefn Mawr also winning on points in his bout with home boxer Adam Davies.
There was however an unfortunate defeat for one Maelor ABC boxer who travelled to Donnington – Leighton Turnbull narrowly lost on points to his opponent Wesley Szklazewicz of Donnnington.
Maelor ABC coach David Jones said: “It was a good event all round – our boys boxed well and their fitness levels were very good.
“Well done to them all for their performances.”
