EMERGENCY services are currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the A5 near Nescliffe.
The collision involves an overturned HGV on the Felton Butler roundabout.
Fire crews were alerted to the incident at 7.08am on Tuesday, dispatching five engines from Baschurch, Shrewsbury and Wellington.
On arrival the driver had climbed out of the vehicle, but the cows remain trapped in the trailer.
Fire Service personnel, including the specialist Animal Rescue Team from Wellington are currently assessing the situation.

The road has also been closed by West Mercia Police while the accident is cleard.
They say it is expected that the road will be closed for a further two hours.
A5 Nesscliff bypass closed in both directions due to a traffic incident. Closure possibly going to be in place for a further 2 hours.
