WATER company, Hafren Dyfrdwy, is inviting local residents in the Lake Vyrnwy area to a drop-in session next week to hear about its environmental improvement project.

On Monday, people are invited to hear about the £1.2 million investment the company is making to improve the status of the River Conwy and the River Marchnant.

Catherine Webb, from Hafren Dyfrdwy, said that the company was dedicated to providing its customers with a great water supply, and that they were keen to share plans with local people.

“We’re committed to making sure we not only provide our customers with a fantastic water supply and service, but also that we take care of the environments that we work in," she said.

"This project aims to improve both the River Conwy and the River Marchnant from a poor status to a good status.

“We’re keen to tell the local community all about our plans, so we’re holding a drop-in session at the Llanwddyn Community Centre.

“We’d really like local people to come along, meet the team and learn more about our work, but to also give their views – after all, the people who know the area best are the local residents.

"Hopefully the local community can help us to find those little gems of information that can make a huge difference to our plans.

"We know that our work may impact on the local community, and that’s why we’d like to talk to people and understand any concerns they may have.

"Our aim is always to make a positive difference to the local environment for generations to come."

The drop-in session will take place on Monday at Llanwddyn Community Centre from 1pm until 3pm.
