A WREXHAM man charged with murder will appear in court tomorrow (October 31).

Madog Llewellyn Rowlands, from Wrexham, has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Lauren Griffiths, who was from the Oswestry area, on April 30, 2019.

Her body was found at a flat in Glynrhondda Street in Cathays, Cardiff.

South Wales Police have said that Rowlands, 22, has been remanded in custody and will appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court tomorrow (October 31).

Lauren’s family, who live in the Oswestry area, have been updated and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.

Detective Inspector Stuart Wales, from the South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Today is a significant development in our six-month investigation into Lauren’s death.

"Although a person has been charged, the investigation continues and we are keen to hear from anyone else who can offer information.”
