Dart players from across the country, including a former World Champion, will be coming to Oswestry to participate in a new competition.
The Oswestry Open Darts Championship will take place on Saturday at The Last Inn in Hengoed.
Among players from Oswestry and further afield, will be former darts World Championship and World Masters winner, Richie Burnett.
The 52-year-old from Rhondda will battle with local players for the title at the first Oswestry Open event, and for the prize of £500 and a trophy.
Sponsored by Jones Brothers of Weston Rhyn, the event will be open for registration at the pub from 10am, with players getting the action underway between 12noon and 1pm.
There is an entry fee of £10 for anyone wishing to take part.
Hot food will be available on the day.
