A SUCCESSFUL art exhibition has recently taken place in a St Martins Pub.
The three-day exhibition, named ‘Paintings in the Pub’, took place at The Keys in Overton Road.
The event included displays of vivid eye-catching seascapes, landscapes and portraits by Jon Young Art and beautiful paintings depicting stories behind miners’ lamps by Holly Hayward.
There was a beautiful display by local former miners, Terry Ellis and Colin Williams, which commemorated the closure of Ifton Colliery 51 years ago.
John Smout of The Keys was delighted with the response shown to the exhibition.
“This was a fantastic event for the village,” he said.
“We look forward to hosting the art exhibition again next year.”
