GET on board for musical adventures with the flying car 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' at Newtown’s Hafren theatre next week.

The fantastic journeys are being mounted by Newtown Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) as their autumn production with a total of four shows on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 24, 25 and 26.

The Hafren box office has tickets priced at £15 available on 01686 614555 or email boxoffice@thehafren.co.uk.

Telling the story of the Potts family and the magical, flying car, the musical is based on the well-known film, and play of the same name, based on the original children’s book by Ian Fleming.

“We’re so excited to bring this show to Newtown,” says director Dawn Jones. “It’s a perfect play for the entire family!”

Tickets are going fast, so make sure you get yours! 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' runs on Thursday, and Friday at 7.30pm; then on Saturday, October 26, at 2.30 and 7.30pm.

The matinee performance on Saturday will be signed for the hearing impaired.

NMTC are also already looking ahead to their next show in April 202o when they will stage 'Footloose' and they are busy looking for a potential director and others interested in directing, along with musical directors, choreographers and production managers.

Rehearsals begin in November, so they are keen to hear from interested people as soon as possible.
