A GROUP of widows from Ellesmere got together to celebrate meeting up for more than two decades.
The Ellesmere Widows are a group of ladies who meet every week for a hot drink and a chat, and recently they celebrated the group’s 23rd birthday with a party.
The ladies met at the Ellesmere Hotel – where they meet each week – to mark the occasion.
They were entertained by John Evans who sang to the group and played a variety of instruments for them all to enjoy.
This year, the group enjoyed each others company on a number of trips, including a visit to an alpaca farm and a trip on a canal boat.
If you are a widow and looking for someone have a chat or share a cuppa with, the group meets every Thursday at the Ellesmere Hotel, High Street, at 10.30am.
New members are very welcome to come along and meet new friends or to see what the group is all about.
