A Shropshire councillor has said he is recording A5 and A483 accident figures in his bid to have the roads dualled in future.
Speaking after a meeting with Highways England, Councillor Steve Davenport, who is Cabinet portfolio holder for Highways and represents St Martins, said he hoped his work would help.
He added: “I did see there was a five-vehicle crash on the A5 on Sunday as well and I am looking for information about it and how it was caused and wish anybody involved the best and hope they are okay.
“I am keeping a record of these incidents so I can present facts to highways bosses.”
A passenger had to be cut out of a vehicle on Saturday night, following a crash on the outskirts of Oswestry, meanwhile a collision between a car and a coach, happened on the A495 in Llanyblodwel at around 8.50pm.
A crash Sunday saw the northbound A5 between Gobowen and Whittington closed while there was also a crash earlier in the week between Gobowen and the Gledrid roundabouts.
