CHARITY walkers were not put off by the weather on Sunday as they trekked around the grounds of Chirk Castle to support the work of Papyrus UK.
The charity works towards the prevention of suicide among young people and provides advice and support services.
Hopewalk organiser Sher Mills became involved after her ex-RAF son Tom took his own life 18 months ago, aged 26.
She said: "At the time I had no idea about Papyrus but I discovered them after searching on the internet.
"Unfortunately, there have been a number of suicides of young people in this area since Tom died. This walk is also a way of bringing people together who might have been in the same situation."
The group's fundraising goes towards supporting Papyrus UK's free Hopeline service, which is 0800 068 4141."
