AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of the teenager who was hit by a train near Poole railway station earlier this month.
Yesterday, at Dorset Coroner's Court, Bournemouth Town Hall, a short hearing heard that 16-year-old Jaroslavs Jurijs Bibikovs died of multiple injures caused by a train collision.
Emergency services attended the track between Baiter Park and Poole Park at 8.50am on Monday, September 9.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time British Transport Police said: "His next of kin have been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are in the process of preparing a report for the coroner."
Response teams from South Western Railway also attended the scene to assist police and paramedics.
