A CHIRK woman is set to compete for the title of Miss Wales for a second time.
Lauren Parkinson was announced as one of the finalists for Miss Wales 2020 on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old will be competing for the chance to represent Wales on a global stage in the Miss World competition.
Lauren was previously a finalist for the Miss Wales contest in 2016, where she claimed the Miss Wrexham title.
After four years away from the competition, she is glad to be competing again.
She said: “After a very exciting phone conversation, I am very excited to announce that I am now a finalist for Miss Wales 2020.
“After much success in the pageant world I feel it is time for me to go back to where it all began.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.”
