ROTARIANS and friends have spent time tidying up a garden in Hope House Children's Hospice.

The Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club and Friends of Rotary spent time weeding and giving flower beds a general tidy in the hospice's Snowflake Garden, which is used by families when they are staying with their child after they have died in the hospice.

The club's president, Ron Pugh, was delighted to be able to help keep the garden in tip-top condition so that families have somewhere to go during those difficult and sad times.

"It’s a privilege to help keep this special garden looking good for those families at a very difficult and sad time," said Ron.

Club members will now help out regularly in the hospice's gardens which are a 'place of peace' where the parents can take their time with their own thoughts.

If you are over 18 and considering volunteering in the community then the Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club is ready to welcome you as a Rotarian or as a Friend of Rotary.

The club meets informally at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm with an 8pm meeting start.
