A car boot sale in memory of a League of Friends stalwart took place on Sunday.
Members of the Chirk and Weston Rhyn branch of the group which fundraises for the Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen came together to host the event in memory of John Davies who died earlier this year.
John worked on the LoF helpdesk and was heavily involved in bringing vintage vehciles to the annual summer fete.
Victoria Sugden, charity director, said: "The LoF was something of a lifeline for John after he lost his wife, who was also a member of the league.
"He joined the helpdesk and he loved to come and have his lunch at the hospital – a special lunch will be put on after the car boot today and we hope this will allow us to do something in John's honour."
The event also saw vintage vehicles in attendance with John's son Steven attending to wave the flag to set them off on a circuit of the hospital.
Victoria added: "We have never held a car boot sale before, but the hospital has been wonderfully supportive and it is an ideal environment for it.
"We are pleased with the turnout and if it goes well it may be held on a regular basis."
