Staff and students came together at Weston Rhyn Primary School on Friday to celebrate one of Britain's finest childrens' authors.
The school, in Old Chirk Road, celebrated Road Dahl Day with pupils coming to class dressed as their favourite character from the books including organiser and English lead Vanessa Hackett, who came as Mrs Twit.
There was an oompa loompa while deputy headteacher T Derham came as Matilda's Miss Trunchbull.
They raised £55 in 20p coins with a cake sale and headteacher Dave Peterson said: "It was really good.
"Well done to Mrs Hackett for organising it – we had a quiz and a drawing competition on Roald Dahl which will be judged next week."
