Now safely back at school and ready for a another of learning and adventure, kids in Gobowen and surrounding areas were treated to a later summer session of fun and crafts recently.
In the year of the 50th anniversary of humans landing on the moon, children were able to enjoy activities on space, including drawing, colouring and designing – all part of the themes set for the annual summer reading challenge.
The library, in St Martins Road, provided the activities beforwe the youngsters made their way to school for the new term and Gwenan Griffiths, a team librarian at the venue, was delighted with how it went.
She said: "Children at Gobowen Central Library and Hub enjoyed stories and activities on Space, the theme for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge in libraries."
