Almost 150 people turned out to support a protest in Wrexham against the suspension of Parliament.
The event began in Queen Square with a short rally before the group marched around to the Guildhall to exchange speeches.
The organisers had said that everyone opposed to this ‘attack on democracy’ was welcome to attend.
One organiser, Natasha Borton said: “This has been a very good turnout and it was great that people have been able to express their views in a positive, peaceful way that also gets the message out there that Wrexham has a voice and will not be silenced in this issue.
“We are one community and it has been important to promote that at the event in our defence of democracy.
“Regardless of your political views, whether you voted leave or remain, the prorogation of parliament is unconstitutional and an undemocratic move at this turbulent time in our history.”
The protest, which took place on Wednesday, September 4, followed on from Boris Johnson facing significant opposition to his plans to prorogue Parliament.
