Elderly people living in north Powys have been targeted in two attempted burglaries.
Dyfed-Powys Police has launched an appeal for information after elderly residents were targeted at properties in Llanfyllin and Penybontfawr.
Both incidents happened between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, August 31.
Anyone who has information about the incidents is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101.
Officers at Llanfyllin Police Station have issued the following home safety advice:
Before going out
- Shut and lock all windows
- Lock all doors
- Leave a light on if returning home after dark
Before going to bed
- Double lock all doors
- Close all windows
Before answering the door
- Put a safety chain across first
- Ask for identification
- Do not be afraid to say 'no'
