After their summer break, a local male voice choir is set to open a busy autumn programme with a performance in Oswestry.
The Orthopaedic Male Voice Choir will take to the stage at The Hermon on Chapel Street, on Saturday, September 8.
Andy Young, chairman of the choir, said: “It is a significant concert for the choir as, for the first time since stepping it to the post of musical director, the choir will be under the baton of Nick Turner.
“Nick has fitted in very well and is already making his mark on the choir.”
The choir will be performing a wide ranging programme of pieces ranging from classical, through musicals to some old favourites in both English and Welsh and guest artists will also be appearing.
The concert will begin at 7.30pm with doors opening at 7pm.
Tickets are £10 and can be obtained from the Hermon Centre website via www.ticketsource.co.uk/hermonchapel/t-zdxmne (booking fee applies), or by telephone 01691 662196 (50p card fee applies) or directly to The Hermon Centre on Chapel Street.
