A man has died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a car between Llanbister and Crossgates.

The crash happened on the A483 at around 11.45am on Sunday, August 25.

The 52-year-old rider, from the Gloucestershire area, suffered from fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The collision involved two vehicles - a green Kawasaki motorcycle travelling southbound towards Crossgates and a silver Ford S-Max which was travelling northbound.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said crews from Llandrindod Wells and Presteigne attended the incident on the A483 between Llanddewi and Llanbister at 11.50am.

Firefighters were assisted the police and Wales Air Ambulance at the incident. Fire and rescue crews left the incident with the police at 1.32pm.

Officers want to speak to any witnesses who were travelling along this road at the time of the collision and have dashcam footage, or anyone who witnessed the collision or the vehicles involved.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Dyfed-Powys Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 197 of August 25.
