The sun was shining down on Ifton Meadows on Saturday as people were encouraged to Come out and Play.

Families headed to the nature reserve in St Martins for a fun day of puppet making, a trail walk and clay crafts, organised by COAP CIC based in the village.

Jen Heard and Helen Harvey founded COAP just over a year ago with the intention of encouraging families to enjoy spending time outdoors and taking part in more hands-on activities.

"The idea for COAP was to have a 'low-tech' approach to life," Jen said.

"We want families to get outdoors, doing hands-on activities.

"We've also just been notified that we are to get a grant for around £740 from Star Housing.

"We're going to use that to accessorise our bell tent so we can run more varied activities."
