Councillors in Oswestry have welcomed plans from the Nationwide Building Society to improve the frontage of their Church Street branch.
The plans, which will be decided by Shropshire Council planning officers, are for the branch to display advertisements to include one projecting sign and one ATM tablet, which are all non-illuminated.
Also included in the plans is a re-decorations scheme for the front elevation.
The company has also applied for consent to carry out works to the front elevation to replace signage and decoration affecting the Grade II-listed building.
Oswestry planning chairman Mike Isherwood said: “It is great to see an Oswestry company making a commitment to making the town look clean.”
All applications at last Wednesday’s meeting were supported.
