THE Mayor of Oswestry found himself in a spot of trouble at the weekend.
Cllr John Price was locked in the stocks at Trefonen Fun Day, but it was all in the good cause of fundraising for the village.
Alison Davies, one of the Offa Community Support Group organisers, said: "We have had fundraisers before at Christmas but we wanted to do something for the kids over the summer.
"We have had face painting and drumming inside and an ice cream van, although the weather hasn't helped with that."
Fortunately, the barbecue was doing some good trade in tasty pulled pork, bangers and burgers, all washed down with some drinks from the bar!
