BOOKS have been hidden around Ellesmere in support of a nationwide project named Books in Sleeves, which aims to encourage youngsters to read.
Each of the children’s books dotted around have a note attached that reads ‘Now you have found me take me away. Re-hide me later to make someone’s day’. Some of the books were donated by Ellesmere Rotary Club who are currently running a pop-up book shop, selling second-hand books for donations so they can continue to support local groups.
Bob McBride from the club said: “The books are donated from the people of Ellesmere who have been very supportive and for that we are very grateful.
“We support the Books in Sleeves project to get young folk to find them and read.”
