OSWESTRY artists have been showcasing their latest works-of-art to the public as part of a summer exhibition.

Members of the Oswestry and District Society of Artists are displaying their work at the Memorial Hall in Smithfield Street for a week.

The exhibition, which will take pride of place in the hall, is one of two that takes place each year by the society, to help the artists to show off their work and to find potential buyers.

Artist Elizabeth Llewellyn, said: "There's a wealth of artists in the area, so this is a platform to bring them all together.

"There's a diverse range of art on display for all tastes and pockets."

Each member can display up to seven pieces of art at the hall, and all members who have their work displayed, are obliged to be part of the stewarding team while the exhibition is running.

Cecilia Clifford, another of the artists, said: "It's all here to be enjoyed, but it can be purchased too."

ODSA's Summer Exhibition will run until Saturday, August 10.

There are also refreshments available for visitors to enjoy while browsing the many pieces of art on display.
