A CITY and four towns have been struck with power outages.

Scottish Power have confirmed they are aware of power cuts in Wrexham, Caernarfon, Mold, Denbigh, and St Asaph.

They have said they are working hard to correct the issues across all the areas, and the power outage should be reseolved soon.

A spokesperson for Scottish Power has said: "We believe the issues began around 10:30 this morning.

"The power outage has been caused due to overhead network faults in multiple areas and is not due to any of the recent weather.

"We currently have engineers on site across the areas to help correct the issues, and hope to have power back to all affected areas in an hours time.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."

In a series of statements on their @SPEnergyNetwork Twitter account, the company revealed a multitude of areas being affected by the power cuts.

They said: “We are aware of a #POWERCUT in #LL13 #LL14 #Wrexham. Our engineers are working to restore supplies. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

They then added: “Our engineers are now en-route to investigate the #POWERCUT in #LL54 #LL55 #Caernarfon. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Shortly afterwards, they sent out another tweet, saying: “Our engineers are now en-route to investigate the #POWERCUT in #CH7 #LL16 #LL17 #Mold #Denbigh #StAsaph. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
