A COFFEE morning for the Gobowen orthopaedic hospital has raised more than £1,300.
The event was held at Alderford Lake by the League of Friends to RJAH and featured coffee, refreshments, food and plant stalls with raffle prizes, fun quizzes and an entertaining and fruitful charity Auction.
The Whitchurch branch of the League of Friends have appreciated a long history of generous donations of prizes from local businesses and individuals in the area and this year was no different.
Local auctioneer David Fisher used his exceptional selling skills to boost the charity total when he auctioned prizes including spa and golfing experiences from Hill Valley Golf Club.
Total funds raised for the coffee morning amounted to just over £1,360.
Branch chairman Sarah Watson Jones was happy with the level of support for the event, saying: “We want to thank everyone for their wonderful support for the coffee morning and throughout the year."
