More than £600 was raised at a Tudor evening in Chirk recently.
Held at Brynkinalt Hall, the event was organised by the Chirk NSPCC/Childline group.
Guests were able to have a stroll around the beautiful gardens before a Wrexham company who makes their own costumes presented an entertaining evening explaining Tudor life and showing some amazing costumes.
A spokesman for the group said: “A big thank you to Kate and Iain Trevor for inviting us to Brynkinalt once again.
“We raised over £660 for children who need help in very difficult situations.”
The next event has been arranged with Froncysyllte Male Choir performing at St Mary's Church, Chirk on Thursday, September 26 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from NSPCC members or by contacting Ferelith Smith on fereliths@gmail.com
