A CHARITY quiz night held in Ellesmere to raise funds for a terminally-ill mum was a huge success.
The fundraiser which took place at the Red Lion Coaching Inn in Ellesmere last month was organised to raise money for 35-year-old Laura Pugh and her family from St Martins to go on their dream holiday and to do as many fun things as possible together.
A total of £735.33 was raised from the quiz, which participants paid £1 each to take part in and a raffle, which included prizes such as a one-off Faith Venus guitar donated by a friend of Laura’s, bottles of wine, chocolates, afternoon tea at the Home Farm Overton, a meal voucher for the Red Lion itself and photography vouchers, among many other things.
If you were not able to make the quiz but would like to donate to the fund to help send Laura and her young family on their first holiday abroad together, you can do so via the following Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/caitlin-rose-james
