A CHARITY fun run will be taking place in St Martins next month in aid of Hope House.

Girls on the Run 10k – which is raising money for the charity based in Morda – is back for another year and will be starting from St Martins School at 10am on Sunday, August 4.

Now into its second year, it is hoped that last year's 70 runners and walkers will be topped with entries still being taken for the event, which also celebrates running for women.

Vicki Evans set up the run last year after wanting to give something back to the charity as her eldest daughter Poppy is a service user.

She said: "The support we get from them [Hope House] is second to none and helps us function as a family in the best way we can.

"I like to be able to give a little back in the form of some fundraising."

The run will end back at St Martins canal and all participators are invited to attend the school to receive a medal and a piece of cake after they have finished.

To enter it is £10 which is payable via Paypal to vickievans2512@outlook.com or for more information search GOTR10k 2019 on Facebook
