A COLLECTION of Father Christmas decorations are on display in Chirk Bank six months early.
Sue Barnett has opened the Chirk Bank Care Home for abandoned Santas in the the Old Post Office.
The idea came from Sue’s cousin in California, and now she is hoping to raise funds for Severn Hospice through the idea.
She said: “My cousin had gone around local thrift shops and found abandoned Santas which she felt she had to rescue. The picture she showed me looked so lovely, so I thought I had to do the same here.
“It started by collecting a few Santas, and since then it’s just snowballed.
“Last year we raised a bit of money for charity by doing it, so hopefully we can do the same this time.
“It’s just a nice little thing to put a smile on people’s faces.”
