BORDERLAND Rotary Club in Oswestry has welcomed in its new president at a recent ceremony.
Taking over from Geoff Barre, new president David Kendall took up the position at a barbecue at Sweeney Hall Hotel last week.
David, who has been a member of the club for 22 years, is looking forward to the "challenge of guiding the club for the next 12 months."
Also at the event, former president Geoff told the club how grateful he was for the support he had received and how proud he was of the hard work that had gone into events such as the fireworks display, the Christmas parade and the Dairi-Pak Mountain Bike Challenge which had raised nearly £20,000 for charity.
