Oswestry Junior Netball Club celebrated success at an annual competition which took place last month.

The Blue Dolphins team, pictured, ran out as runners-up at the under-14s Shropshire Netball Leagues Tournament held at Church Stretton School.

Held each year, the tournament is an end of season event held annually after the Shropshire League has finished and as training ends for the season.

Clubs from all over Shropshire take part and with its ‘end of term’ feel, it is a fun way to bring the season to a close.

This year, the weather was kind enough so all the teams were able to enjoy their day.

Oswestry Junior Netball Club’s head coach Sian Roberts said: “It is always a good day of fun that the girls really enjoy.

“I am pleased that Blue Dolphins did so well in their group and hope that that can keep it up when we return to training in September.”

Oswestry Junior Netball Club train at Oswestry Leisure Centre from U11 to U16 age groups from September until the end of May.

The club is now preparing to welcome any new players who may wish to join them for the upcoming season.
