A MIXED martial arts (MMA) club in Oswestry recently had a special visit from an Olympic-level wrestling coach.
Alan Jones MBE is the Team GB Wrestling coach, and has lead athletes to medals in the Commonwealth and European Games.
He paid a visit to Team Elite MMA Club in Oak Street after recently returning from Romania with Team GB.
Alan is one of the few British athletes to hold a seventh dan in judo.
He lead an informative session introducing the Oswestry MMA fighters to freestyle Olympic wrestling and catch wrestling/judo submissions.
Alan said: “It’s always a pleasure to work with the guys at Elite.
“They have coaches passionate about their sport and consistently produce quality athletes.”
Team Elite said it would like to thank Alan for an excellent session.
