The Brecon and Radnorshire Conservative office have called in the police, after they say their constituency office was 'vandalised' for the third time in three months.

According to a statement released today, a 'distasteful image' was drawn on the door of the office, while anti-brexit stickers were plastered on the office windows at the building in Brecon.

"The level of abuse that has been directed at Chris Davies and the association in recent weeks has been extremely concerning," said a Conservative spokesperson.

"Our office in Brecon has been covered in ‘bollocks to Brexit’ stickers three times in as many months and this weekend was the most extreme. With distasteful images being drawn on the building. As well as the inappropriately named stickers being plastered across the town on lampposts and independent shop fronts."

Earlier today Chris Davies, the former MP for Brecon and Radnorshire who became the first Welsh MP to ever be unseated as the result of a recall petition last week, was confirmed as the Conservative candidate to contest the resulting by-election in the constituency.

Mr Davies is a member of the European Research Group, and has previously described himself as a "committed lifelong Euro-sceptic."

"We would hope that my political opponents could engage like adults, debate ideas and campaign on local issues such as saving Brecon Barracks from closure, gaining investment and tackling the rising rate of suicides amongst young men in rural areas," the statement continued.

"This incident has been reported to the police and we hope those involved refrain from vandalising our offices in the future. This is not what the people of Brecon and Radnorshire expect when we have elections in our constituency”.

Dyfed Powys Police have been contacted for comment.
