The unveiling of a plaque in the Pauper Burial Ground at the start of June will be discussed by councillors in Llanfyllin tonight.

The item has been placed on the agenda as a ‘matter arising’ at the meeting, which will take place in the Public Institute.

Llanfyllin’s Mayor, Councillor Simon Baynes, and the Rector, the Rev’d Hermione Morris, conducted a simple ceremony on Sunday, 2 June in what was a described as ‘moving ceremony’, and was well-attended.

In a packed agenda, councillors in the town will also discuss the Farmers Market, which was successfully launched on June 6.

Other items on the agenda include, discussion about the War memorial, the allotments, planning matters and the Llanfyllin library building.

While though it is still summer, members of the council will also discuss the Christmas Markets for 2019, plus a handrail at Bronygaer.

The meeting starts at 6.45pm.
