An Oswestry vets is trying to help one lost feline to find his way home.

Trixie was brought into Park Issa Vets earlier this week and the team want to see him reunited with his owners.

He was microchipped in North Shields and his registered home is in Folkestone in Kent.

However it is understood that his owners have moved and not updated his records.

His records also show that Trixie was reported missing in 2014, but there is the chance that he was found soon after and this was not recorded.

A spokesperson for Park Issa said: "We would love if this post could go far and wide to try to locate his owner as the details on his chip are not connecting although we are sending a letter to the address as well.

"If you think this is your cat please ring 01691 670067.

"Please everyone who has their pet microchipped remember to update your details so if they ever come in to us we can contact you.

"Knowing that he has a loving family that we cannot find is so heartbreaking."
