VOLUNTEERS in Tilston have been cleaning up the streets by taking part in a village litter pick.
Members of the local parish council, along with a number of volunteers set off along the roads through the village collecting rubbish as they went.
With best kept village competitions on the horizon, there was added impetus to make the area look tidy.
Speaking after the pick, a spokesperson for Tilston Parish Council said: "Thank you to everyone who helped litter pick and tidy the village this morning, the Wombles would have been impressed!"
