North Wales Police has confirmed an incident on the Halton Bridge between Chirk and Ruabon on Tuesday afternoon.
It was reported that a member of the public was seen sitting outside of the safety railings on the bridge, on the A483, which crosses Ceiriog Valley at around 5pm.
The road was temporarily closed while officers from North Wales Police attended the scene and a force incident manager later confirmed that they had dealt with the situation.
The A483 has now re-opened.
