MEMBERS of Oswestry Photographic Society have held their social evening and annual prize night at Sweeney Hall.

The evening included the Printer of the Year competition with members work displayed and voted on, won by Celia Todd.

Trophies, which were donated by Oswestry businesses and past members families, were presented to this seasons winners, Celia Todd, Eva Robinson, Andy Munro, Paul Weeks, David Osselton and Diane Smith.

A group photograph was then taken in the gardens of the Sweeney Hall to record the event.

Oswestry Photographic Society was founded more than 50 years ago as a meeting place for people with an interest in photography.

Diane Smith said: "The society still has the same philosophy but has moved into the digital age and welcomes all photographers, whether beginners seeking to improve their techniques or experts looking to share their enthusiasm and meet like-minded people.

"We are a small friendly club and are always keen to welcome new members.

"Whatever level of experience we would love to see you, so please come and join us at any one of our meetings. We have a varied programme ranging from talks by local and renowned Photographers, practical evenings, internal and external competitions."

The Oswestry photographic Society meet from September to May with monthly events throughout the year.
