THE Golden Ticket Charity Ball organised by an Oswestry businesswoman managed to raise more than £4,000 for a north Shropshire charity.

Sally Rogers organised the event which took place on Saturday, March 9 at Park Hall Pavilion.

Over the past 20 years, Sally has been fundraising for a number of different charities.

Before the evening, she had already raised an incredible £89,000 for charity. This total has now topped £93,000 following the charity ball.

A grand total of £4117.05 was raised on the night.

The evening began with guests being greeted by the incredible Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas, before enjoying a three-course meal.

During the evening, an auction was held to raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospices – the charity selected by Sally.

“We are so grateful to Sally and everyone who supported her event for raising such an incredible amount for Hope House,” said Lynsey Kilvert Hope House Fundraiser.

“More than 80 per-cent of the monies we need to help support local seriously ill babies, children, young adults and their families come from people in our community. Without them, we simply would not exist. Thanks to Sally and her guests, we will do everything we can to ensure that no family suffers the death of a child alone”.

Sally thanked all the guests in attendance and everyone who helped with the running of the event.
