An event featuring a former Lead Flight Director for three lunar landing missions is set to raise money for a North Powys organisation.
During the evening event, guests will sit down for a three course meal with Gerry Griffin after which he will give a talk on his life, career and some of the lesser known aspects of the Apollo lunar missions, and life at the Manned Spacecraft Center (later Johnson Space Center) during his years there.
Money raised will go towards the renovation of the grade 2 listed Llanwddyn Community Centre, with the Llanwddyn Events group currently negotiating with Powys County Council to take on the tenancy of the hall.
The event is being held at the Rossett Hall Hotel, Chester, on Tuesday, May 14.
