County Hall at Ruthin where the inquest opening took place
THE death of a former call centre operator is being investigated by police.
An inquest has been opened into the death of Cerys Smith, 32, of St Mary's Close, Chirk.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin, John Gittins, coroner for North Wales (East and Central), said Ms Smith died at Holborn Crescent in Brynteg, near Wrexham, on March 11.
Mr Gittins said: "Ms Smith had a known history of drug use and had been in the company of other individuals at the time."
He added the death was subject to a police investigation and a Home Office post-mortem examination would be carried out.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be confirmed.
