A number of incidents have been reported by the Wem and Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhood Teams over the last week, with West Mercia Police investigating.

There was the theft of a caravan vernight between 8pm Tuesday and 7am Wednesday, April 16-17 after a fence was breached and a twin axle, double wheeled, Swift Conqueror caravan with black lettering and black edging, was taken from a caravan site at Mile Bank, off Mile Bank Road between Whitchurch and Marbury.

The caravan was dragged across a neighbouring field and would probably be muddy. (Incident: 0095s 170419).

There was a burglary at Dobsons Bridge in Whixhall between 10.30am and 5.15pm on Tuesday, April 16; an attempt appeared to have been made to break into a farm house near Dobsons Bridge, Whixhall. A door was badly damaged but, no evidence of entry was reported. (Incident reference: 0179s 160419.)

On Monday, April 15, a shopper's black Radley purse with two Radley dogs on it was taken from the counter of a shop in Green End, Whitchurch. The purse contained personal photos and bank cards. Later, the cards were cancelled. (Incident: 0154s 170419.)

Finally, on Monday, April 15, a Neighbourhood Watch group in Higher Heath reported that a female doorstep trader, described as in her 50s and with a white,19-reg Range Rover, had been cold-calling offering good luck charms for sale. (Incident: 0616N 150419.)
