Children and Adults alike turned out in their droves to enjoy some Easter holiday fun at St Mary’s Church in Chirk.

The church made the most of the Good Friday weather to host an Easter egg trail and crafting event, to build awareness of their Sunday club.

Sarah Wilkinson said: “It’s been a great success. We’ve had of 50 children turn up so if you add one or two parents onto that number, it’s a lot of people.

“It’s our first time doing something like this. The idea was to raise awareness for the children’s work at the church.

“We started doing a Sunday club six months ago, and that started to build up the work we do. So it’s mostly for that, and we’re hoping to do it again next year.

“Also obviously Good Friday is an important day for the church too, and it helps the weather’s nice!”
