RESIDENTS of Ruyton XI Towns will soon have a much improved phone signal.
O2 has introduced its 4G service to nine villages and hamlets in Shropshire demonstrating the mobile network operator’s commitment to delivering 4G to customers in rural communities.
The successful implementation of the 4G network will allow customers to experience a new level of high speed mobile internet.
Since the beginning of the year, 4G has been launched in the following places:
Derek McManus, chief operating officer at O2, said: “I’m delighted that O2 customers in more rural communities in Shropshire can now experience faster mobile internet.
"We continue to invest in bringing data coverage to as many locations as possible and have put forward an industry led proposal around a Single Rural Network which we believe is the best way to provide coverage in rural areas.
"We are already working with government on what this proposed network will look like – and we hope to announce further progress on this front shortly.”
