There were cakes, coffee and children’s activities at an Easter coffee morning at St John’s Church in Bettisfield.
The coffee morning aimed to raise funds to restore the altar frontals, which were designed by renowned Victorian Gothic architect George Street.
Most of Street’s works were in relation to churches; designing new churches, restoring and making additions and alterations to existing churches, and designing fittings and furnishings for them
He is best known as the designer of the Royal Courts of Justice, on the Strand in London.
