AFC Telford have announced they are satisfied with Whitchurch Alport’s findings that there was no racial abuse at last week’s Huddersfield Cup.
Claims were made on Friday that abuse was aimed at the Bucks’ Matthew Barnes-Homer during Thursday’s penalty shoot-out win.
But after investigations were carried out, no evidence was found.
They said: “Following a full investigation from Whitchurch Alport, AFC Telford United are happy to have been informed that there is no evidence to suggest any racial chanting took place at the Huddersfield Cup tie last week.
“Both photographic and video evidence had been presented as well as individual meeting’s with supporters who were stood behind the goal when the alleged incident took place.
“AFC Telford United would like to thank Whitchurch for all their support in this matter and we would like to wish them all the very best for the rest of the season.
Whitchurch Alport declined to comment on the matter.
