AN OSWESTRY based sporting agency has helped raise over £1,000 for the Welsh air Ambulance.
Llanforda Sporting Agency, named for the nearby Llanforda Estate have raised the money after nominating the Welsh Air Ambulance as their charity of choice.
Mark Lawrence, head of country sports, turned down presents at his birthday celebration in favour of donations and raised £1000. This was complemented with visitors to the estate making donations, bringing the grand total to £1910.
Louise Keevil, development manager at Llanforda Sporting Agency, said: "The Welsh Air ambulance is an obvious countryside choice and I am delighted that our friends and supporters recognise the value of this emergency service."
