THE Movement Centre has received a boost in funds thanks to a generous donation.

The Movement Centre received the financial boost thanks to a local Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) group.

The group, based at Chirk Ceiriog Lodge is part of the Oswestry and Shrewsbury Province and supports local charities every year as well as supporting their members.

Secretary of the group, Frank Maddocks, visited the Movement Centre with other members to present a cheque for £1000.

The centre provides a specialist therapy for children, called Targeted Training.

Children who come to the centre have a disability that affects their movement control, such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome or global developmental delay.

Curtis Langley, fundraising and marketing officer at the Movement Centre, said “We were thrilled to receive this donation, and we really appreciate support from the local group.

"The Movement Centre has to raise vital funds every year to support the families that attend the centre, and donations such as this really make a big difference.”
